What are the disadvantages of buying a Toyota Prius or Honda hybrid, and running on battery and gas?

1. That accelerate 2 speeds speeds. The batteries are expensive to replace and must be replaced at around 80k - 100k 3. Hybrids are more dangerous when in an accident (high voltage) 4. Some states charge more fees for registration 5. Complex systems of property that only qualified, experienced mechanics can handle. 6. The pieces are more expensive. 7. Generally, hybrids have a very slow acceleration as opposed to regular gasoline engines.
