Honda Ridgeline Caps
What shall I do if there's smoke coming out of distributor cap because of drops of oil?
I accidentally drop some oil on the distributor cap of my 2006 Honda Ridgeline. Now when I turn the engine on, white smoke comes out from the cap. Is this dangerous, what shall I do? Thank you.
Unhook your battery, remove the cap. You'll have to label or remember the sequence as to where your wires go to avoid a misfire later. Clean out the holes where the wires go. You have oil in there and it could catch fire. Where there is smoke, there is fire (or at least could be).
