Honda History

Hey is there anyone who specializes in Honda's? because i have lots of questions.?
I have lots questions about Honda's and generaly how they work and there history because you can only find out so much from reading. or at least get me some pointers to Honda car history and blue prints explaining what everything is and does in an engine.
Sounds like you have some studying to do
You can't learn all it is you are wanting to know about Honda engines just from an answer on a website.
The best way to learn about Honda engines is to work on them. Check out your local junk yard & see if you can't buy any '90's model Civic off of them that isn't totalled w/a bent frame or something, but rather maybe the engine is blown or there's a rod through the block.
Next, buy every manual on that car & engine that you can. Ebay is a good place to look. Get the owner's manual, get the Honda factory repair manual, the Honda factory electrical manual & get studying. Use what you learn from there to fix your car & get it running again. These books literally will be your blue prints to figuring out where everything is & how it works on your car.
This is how I learned what I know about cars.
Best of luck to you!

A Century of Japanese Motorcycles $173.24 Japanese motorcylemakers are most widely acknowledged for introducing new paradigms of efficiency and forcing American and European competitors to adapt or perish. But the history of Japanese motorcycles predates the Honda CB750 that was introduced in 1969 and is today generally recognized as the most influential motorcycle ever. This fabulous color history spans a full century of Japanese motorcycles, featuring the landmark models from Honda, Suzuki and Kawasaki that invaded American shores in the 1960s (and are today among the most sought-after collector bikes), as well as long-forgotten motorcycles from names like Hodaka, Bridgestone, Miyata and others. Complete specifications and production histories are provided for each model, along with photography that includes evocative period imagery and modern color shots depicting pristine motorcycles from private and company collections. |

Thompson and Dennis Hopper. Among the gems selected on both technical and aesthetic grounds are the 1894 Hildebrand & Wolfmuller 1500cc; the pivotal BMW R32; the immensely popular 1950s Honda 50 Super Cub; the quintessentially American 1977 Harley-Davidson XLCR; and the Ducati 916, one of the most beautiful motorcycles ever produced. Harukor $14.06 In this engaging tale, Honda Katsuichi reconstructs the life of an Ainu woman living on the northern island of Japan over five hundred years ago. Harukor's story, created from surviving oral accounts of Ainu life and culture as well as extensive research in the scholarship, takes place in the centuries before the mainland Japanese nearly destroyed the way of life depicted here.In the first person, the fictional Harukor tells us of her childhood, her adolescence, and her motherhood, drawing on tales and songs performed by her grandmother and other bards. She describes festivals, weddings, childbirth and midwifery, traditional healing methods, battles, and funerals in detail. Her story is followed by the adventures of her oldest son, Pasekur, which end by foreshadowing an early Ainu rebellion against Japanese encroachment.Amply illustrated and prefaced by an extensive introduction to Ainu history, the natural surroundings, and the sources used to construct Harukor and her world, this volume is a unique portrait of Ainu gods and humans, of matters sacred and mundane, and of the distinctive Ainu respect for nature's bounty. |

Old Torrance Olmsted Districts $21.99 The City of Torrance anchors Los Angeles County's South Bay area and is known widely as a headquarters city for corporate giants Exxon Mobil, Nissan, Honda, and others. Yet the city's unique history often gets glossed over. Downtown Torrance, also known as Old Torrance and the Olmsted Districts, was laid out in 1912 by Frederick Law Olmsted Jr., the influential urban-designer son of the Father of Landscape Architecture, F. L. Olmsted Sr. The town founder and patriarch, Jared Sidney Torrance, gave Olmsted Jr. the imperative to create a unique industrial city. The results are in the streets, buildings, and parks between Western Avenue and Crenshaw Boulevard, north of today's Plaza Del Amo and south of Dominguez Way. Some structures in this district were designed by renowned architect Irving Gill, including the Southern Pacific Railroad Bridge and the Pacific Electric Railway depot. |

Six Men Who Built the Modern Auto Industry: The Interwoven Lives of the Auto Industry's Powerbrokers $10.46 This is the story of six extraordinary men who each built something from nothing, redefined the automotive industry after World War II, and redirected its course for the future: Henry Ford II (visionary autocrat with an iron will), Shoichiro Honda (most successful automotive entrepreneur since Henry Ford I), Eberhard von Kuenheim (founder of the modern BMW), Lee Iacocca, Ferdinand Piech (builder of Volkswagen Group) and Robert Lutz (who left retirement at 70 and is still highly influential at General Motors). What made them special was the sheer volume of fundamental change they brought to the largest industry on the history of the world. They not only re-shaped the auto business, the six made a sizable dent in the societies they lived in. To a man they were great cognitive thinkers. Their minds worked with animal speed, even instinct speed. But more than anything these were brave and cantankerous souls who rode the waves of history. Each could see the future. They could just make it out-sometimes imperfectly, but could see it nonetheless. They took a business that had begun to mature and decline by the 1930s and found ways to make it fresh and whole again. |
