Honda Coil Resistance
ohms of resistance, and interpret a reading that is not the specification?
The coil on a Honda CR 80h have a primary specification of about 0.4 to 0.6 ohms, the secondary circuit should be around 10.6 to 15.4 k ohms. My primary resistance checks out, but the secondary lead, plug the cable negative coil is read only 4 ohms k. Is not it required 10.6 minimum. So my question is: It shows clearly a malfunction, but what is really wrong with the circuit, can not be a broken wire or inside reading would not at all, if the needle was to pull up or down to 0 and indicates further closed circuit course. I know, but at a lower reading, 4 in this case believe that it is a continuation, albeit with less resistance to passing the current, (OV?) Through the circuit, which most expected resistance of 10 6 +. What conditions would indicate the lower reading, the harm? deterioration? any ideas?
