2001 Mitsubishi Mirage engine swap?

I want to change my engine more power, for a 4G63T in my 2 dr. mirage. The thing is I do not want to do a conversion AWD, just want to keep DM. I do not know if the hood of my car fit the 4G63T. Does anyone have any clue? Or should I rebuild the motor? But what really I want to share a Honda K20 engine, is it possible? I know it sounds crazy

If you want a FWD 4G63T and still maintain, you have to get the Eclipse GST FWD 4G63T motor that has a fwd. But it requires a lot and I mean a lot of custom work as a harness / connector, ecu, motor mounts, maybe a transsexual new etc. This is possible but requires less labor than five flagship. It is not an easy descent and ready. Like you said, is an exchange of crazy but possible. The K20 ... possibly not too much money and assembling wouldnt do. Mind and buy a GSX if you exchange or get a S2000 K20, as the exchange price is almost as much as getting a car again. The cheapest way is to rebuild your engine which is cheaper, easier and safer for your car. There was a guy on youtube who built a mirage 4g93 2DR (like yours) in a 450 + car PST Beast with a personalized exercise lsd, totally built with the stronger engine pistons and connecting rods, and a custom turbo kit. It seemed crazy, but dyno'd it and ran around 28-30 psi with no problems. That car basically became a 10 sec car. Look for "ALExTek Mirage 1997 "on youtube, you should check out videos couple. The vehicle is currently in Puerto Rico.
