The Honda CRZ

Honda is one of the prime Japanese auto manufacturers in the world and they have a very impressive line-up of cars to choose from.  One of the most popular vehicles to hit the blacktop is the Honda CRZ.  CRZ stands for Compact Renaissance Zero.  It is a hybrid vehicle - meaning it runs on gasoline and electric - and it comes in a hatchback style.  It was originally released as a concept car in 2007 at the Tokyo Auto Show, and the commercial version of the car - which is efficient, inexpensive, and sporty - rolled off the production line in 2008.  It is one of the vehicles produced by Honda that uses their patented Motor Assist System.

In addition to the CRZ, Honda released two other hybrid concept cars.  The Honda Remix was released in 2006 at the Los Angeles Motor Show and the other was the Honda Small Hybrid Sports, released at the Geneva Motor Show in 2007.  Both of these vehicles saw very limited production, with the CRZ surpassing all of them.  The CRZ, with its four seats, is the predecessor of the second generation Honda CRX.  This is in both model name and the vehicles design.

The CRZ production may be flattened for the 2009 or 2010 model year starting with Europe.  The more elaborate models that Honda is going to produce will be pitched in Europe first and then distributed to other nations.  The cost of these vehicles will be around 25,000 Euros, with higher trimmed models costing 28,000 Euros.  The final stage of the production of this newly remodeled CRZ will be influenced by European customers, improving the overall design of the car and providing European users with the options and trim packages they want.

According to reports made by Edmunds, the newly remodeled Honda CRZ will be launched in the United States sometime in 2009.  It is supposed to be released shortly after the Honda Insight.  The Insight is a hybrid car with five doors.  Additional production of the CRZ will start at the end of 2010 once the new design has been finalized.  This hybrid vehicle will appeal to all drivers who are looking for a car that will provide them with fuel efficiency, a reliable vehicle, and a sporty look without having to compromise on comfort.  They will be reasonably priced and offer consumers who are environmentally savvy an option for something to drive that will not leave an environmental footprint.
