Honda Fit you want to buy - the 2008, or the next new model for 2009?

I love the Honda Fit, but I read about the criticism that some of modern cars. Now the 2nd generation model has debuted at the New York Auto Show and it seems to have addressed the above issues, and it looks great! The disadvantage is to wait until September to get one, and I'm wondering if they will be scarce or have waiting lists for them. Should I wait out, or take advantage of the current model, which My local dealer has a great offer? (I complain about the current model does not have a footrest, armrest or lever seat height.)

I have a Fit Sport 2008 and loving it. I took a break after the market standing (dead pedal) for $ 43 and armrests for $ 80. I'm 6 feet tall and the seat height does not bother me ... That said, I think you can not go wrong with either ... oh yeah, I recommend the 5-speed automatic on the mileage, more gas ...
